The Company
Our client is a highly specialised property tax consultancy offering expert advice to homeowners across the UK. They focus on the niche areas of content valuations for Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and capital allowances, providing technically accurate, HMRC-compliant services with a strong client-first approach.
The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Residential Property Tax Surveyor to join a dynamic and knowledgeable team. This role is ideal for an experienced surveyor with a strong eye for detail and a keen interest in residential property tax matters.
Conduct detailed, on-site surveys of residential properties across London and the South-East.
Identify chattels and other relevant contents for SDLT relief assessments.
Prepare accurate and HMRC-compliant valuation reports.
Advise clients on contents valuation and potential SDLT refund opportunities.
Liaise with solicitors, conveyancers, and other property professionals.
Submit valuation findings and documentation to HMRC.
Additional (Optional) Responsibilities
Assist in the identification of qualifying expenditure for capital allowances.
Support the preparation and submission of capital allowances claims.
Required Qualifications
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOT).
Ideal Attributes
Background in surveying, taxation, or related field (degree preferred but not essential).
Proven experience in residential property surveying.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Familiarity with industry-standard surveying tools/software.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regionally.
